Our fall Bible study begins Monday, September 14th (9:30 am and 6:30pm). Come join us as we dive into the book "Warrior Chicks" by Holly Wagner. Holly helps us understand that as women, we are strong soldiers of Christ. He equips us to be warriors of faith through His Word. The book is very engaging, the homework is easy, and it is application oriented. The cost is $25. To register contact Amy Schuler aschuler@memphisbioworks.org
The Athena Project is a research clinic that serves women who have experienced domestic violence and are troubled by stress after the violence ends. Offered by the University of Memphis, Department of Psychology, the Athena Project is a free service to all members of the community.
Trouble recovering from the violence may include nightmares, trouble concentrating, avoidance of situations that remind you of the abuse, feeling jumpy and related emotional problems. Participants will receive free evaluation and (where appropriate) treatment focusing on alleviating signs and symptoms of stress.
For more information call (901) 678-3973, and ask to speak with Dr. Gayle Beck.
